    Hi Bogey, 

    To test the CMLOUT, we would recommend using a differential probe. This would require the 100 Ω termination resistor to be placed externally between the CMLOUT +/- pins. If your oscilloscope has a 100Ω differential termination, you would not need the external 100Ω resistor.

    Also you will need a high speed scope with high bandwidth and DPOJET jitter analysis software.

    If you want to qualify the link integrity, I recommend you use Margin Analysis which can be run in the ALP GUI. The CMLOUT can be used to identify gross signal errors. Also to run Margin Analysis, you will only need USB2ANY/Aardvark to connect to I2C lines and the computer.
