DP83867IR: Trouble getting the DP83867IRPAPT to pass ethernet certification at 1GB

Hi Team,

The customer is having trouble with getting the DP83867IRPAPT to pass ethernet certification at 1GB. They tested several chips from multiple lot codes and the only chip that passed certification testing and had the register that changed the output was one they removed from an evaluation board and soldered onto the board.
All the chips function fine, but won't pass certification at 1GB

Also, they write to the register and can read back what they wrote, but the output does not change.

Please let me know your inputs and if you have any questions with the customer.

Hi Jonathan,

What time of certification are you doing? Do you mean IEEE Compliance? What exactly are they failing?

Can you share the process for how they are reading and writing to the registers?

Hi Jonathan,

It looks like it is for IEEE Compliance. They are passing peak voltage test.

Can you please share the schematic what results they are actually getting? They do not share the peak voltage measured.

In your email I only see the test results unfortunately..can you please send the email again with the schematic? I see only one pdf sent over in my inbox.

Also, it looks like a similar e2e question was asked in regards to peak volt failure. Can you see if this is something your customer has confirmed and tested?
