Hello Team.

My customer is looking for Ethernet selector.

Do we have such a product ?

<Background>
Existing system is using a relay in the SELECTOR part.
However, future devices they will need to support up to 1000Base-T
It would be difficult to realize signal quality with relays, then hope to know alternative part.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Hey Jin,

Would something like the TS3L501E work here? It's a 2:1 ethernet switch (8:16 signal paths). It provides a power-down mode that puts the device in a stand-by state to minimize the current consumption and supports 10/100/1000 baseT.

For this product, I think it is necessary to connect it in front of the pulse transformer. Are you aware of this?

How is the pulse transformer being used? I've seen a transformer used in this application for biasing before the switch since the ts3l501e can't support negative voltages. Do you know the signal characteristics we expect to see after the transformer?
