TPS65988: Internal SINK Path and External SOURCE Path

Hi,

In the TP65988 EVK, I could see an internal SOURCE and external SINK path. Can I do it reverse,i.e., Can I design an internal SINK path and external SOURCE path?

    Hello Baghiya Lakshmi,

    As per PD spec, a source path is required to have Over Current Protection (OCP). The internal power path has built in OCP That's why we recommend to use external path for sink and internal path for Source. You can use external path for Sourcing power but make sure you have external OCP.
