TPS65987D: Inquire about usb data

Hi TI experts,

My customer want to design with the concept below.

USB PD supplies power to the tablet and receives display data from the tablet. it is possible?

If possible, should the USB D+/D- be connected in parallel to the TPS65987D and the display IC?

    Hi Downey,

    Yes this is possible. It is up to you if you would like to connect the D+/D- pins in parallel or not. These pins on the PD controller are only used for BC1.2 functionality. Other than that, the PD controller will not configure these pins and they will simply get passed through if there are connected.
