Dear team,
My customer is using TFP401 for HDMI to RGB conversion to drive RGB interface LCD screen. The design is finished and is validated by driving with a raspberry pi using forced HDMI output source. But the problem is that when using a windows PC as HDMI source, it can't be recognized by the Windows system.
Pin15/16(SCL/SDA) are left NC on HDMI interface. So my guess is that since Windows can't read EDID data thru DDC, it does not output HDMI signal, resulting in no image on the display. So my questions are as below:
- Am I correct on this?
- Can this be solved with connecting a EEPROM to SCL and SDA pin with EDID data block programmed?
- Do we have any reference design on this?
Thanks a lot!
BR,
Charles
