My customer is evaluating DP83869HM and in that evaluation, they saw 1000BaseT link connection error.
error rate is 2/85 and it looks TD_X_B pins have someting trouble.
100BaseTX connection: it takes a little bit time to connect Link
1000BaseT connection: no link established
When they took 1000BaseT waveform with test fixture with TestMode1, piarB(TD_P_B/ TD_M_B) waveform was different from other pairs.(see attachment)
regarding "pin - GND resistor value",
> TD_M_B - GND: 15Ω
> TD_P_B - GND: 5.3kΩ
> other pins - GND: 5.6~6kΩ
I summarized in attached pptx but question here is
- do you have any experience that DP83869HM behaves like above/attachment without any failure?
- it looks TD_X_B has someting trouble in customer case but does TD_X_B have anything special function than other TD_X_A/C/D?
In addition, they saw lower link pulse voltage than normal one.
Is the lower link pulse voltage normal behavior for link establish?
