Hello,

Is DS90UB913A inactive when the back-channel of Des is configured OFF (DS90UB914A "BC Enable", 0x01 bit 2 is 0)?

If so, what state is Ser in when Des is configured as above? Only the differential driver is OFF?

Is this the case also for the combination of UB913A and UB936, and others?

Hello Masatoshi-san,

You will need to enable BC to be able to configure the SER.

BC disable means the differential output of the DES is disabled.

In other DES, there is no option to disable BC.

Hi,

Thank you for the feedback.

But I knew disabling BC of DES disables differential output of DES of course. But it seems somehow the differential output from SER is also disabled. I would like to know why and what state SER is in in this situation. Can SER send serial stream when DES is configured as BCC off?

This should not affect the SER output.
