Hi,
We are using IC TUSB1002A repeater board in cascade connection. I need to understand insertion losses to improve the signal integrity and also for the selection of equivalization setting based on our block diagram.
Hi,
Please feel free to share through E2E DM instead of posting here. I will send a friend request, please accept so we can continue to discuss.
Thanks for the reply. I tried all the channel equalization setting range suggested for PCB 1& 2 for all the settings it worked. And what is the calculated insertion losses for PCB-1 and PCB-2 ?. And the reason for selecting VOD & gain for setting # 12 do you have any calculation reference example based on insertion losses selection (VID at 5 GHz = VOD x (10 -(Gv/20))?.
As you told it may change during USB compliance testing? Can you please suggest what can be done should we need to test eye diagram in hardware testing ? We dont have super speed signal testing
Hi,
Correct setting 12 for both PCBs. DC boost is set to +1 for both channels with 1200 mV VOD. This setting covers the most applications but may be changed during the tuning process/compliance testing.
