My customer would like to ask the maximum of IoL(Low level output current) for I2C_SDA .

There is a description of IoL = 3mA or IoL = 20mA as the test content on pg.13(SERIAL CONTROL BUS I/O) in the data sheet,

Could you please tell the specification for IOL itself.

My customer is considering using the ds9ub941 in an automotive device. So he wants to know the max value of the IoL in order to determine the value of the I2C pull up resistance in the I2C connection.

Hi Yanni,

It depends on the VDDIO voltage and the I2C rate you are planning to use. What is your VDDIO voltage and what is your I2C rate?

VDDIO voltage：1.8V

I2C rate：　1MHz（Fast mode plus）

The minimum Iol for 1.8V and Fast mode plus will be 2mA.

No, there is not a max spec for Iol.
