ISO3080: Question about top marking of ISO3080DWR

Part Number: ISO3080

Hi

My customer is using ISO3080DWR.

It is said that the top marking of the product received this time is different(Text position, size..) from the existing product.

It's like the picture below. I asked if there was any problem with the existing product and marking styles.

Left : existing . Right: New

Thanks

  • Hi David,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

I do see the differences in the size of the text used in the existing and new devices. Please allow me to check internally and come back to you and confirm if this is expected. Please allow me to come back to you by end of this week. Thanks.

  • Hi David,

The lot trace code (LTC) of the device on the right seems to be incorrect and isn't associated with ISO3080, it doesn't seem to have come from TI. The LTC of the left device associated with ISO3080 and is being identified in our system. Thus, I can say that the device on the right isn't authentic TI part. Do you know where did customer buy the part from?

LTC is the 7 character code in the first line of device.

  • Hi Koteshwar

We are Arrow, the TI agency in Korea.

It's a product that we directly supplied, but the customer company asked because it was different from the previous product.

I think the genuine product will be right. Please check it again.

    Thanks

  • Hi David,

    Sorry about the confusion.
I checked with the internal teams and then understood that the LTC is "24AQ59T" and not "24A059T" or "24AO59T". I was searching these two incorrect LTC codes and hence, couldn't locate it to our system. Now I confirm that "24AQ59T" is a correct LTC and is associated with ISO3080.

I also checked about the change in size of text in newer devices and I found out that the size reduction was indeed done for many parts early this year for optimization and better productivity improvements. Hence, you can confirm customer that this is conscious choice made by TI and they shouldn't have any concerns with it.

Let me know if you have any further questions, thanks.

  • Hi Koteshwar

Is there a plan to issue the PCN according to the change in top marking?

    Thanks

  • Hi David,

I believe PCN is required if there are any changes to device electrical characteristics. Since the top marking change doesn't affect device electrical characteristics, it doesn't require issuing a PCN. I hope that addresses your question, thanks.
