Dear Sir/Madam,
I would like to confirm that ISOW774x does support isolated signal-level translation?
e.g. Digital side with 1.8V I/Os. Isolated side with 3.3V I/Os, with VIO pin = 1.8V, Vdd pin = 3.3V, VSEL pin = GND2, VISOOUT pin = 3.3V output & feed to VISOIN pin.
From the Electrical Characteristics 7.11~7.18, all those characteristic cases are the same supply voltage between VIO & VISOIN. Not sure do accept different supply voltage between VIO & VISOIN.
Thanks for your time on this support.
Best regards,
Ping
Hi Ping,
Thanks for reaching out.
Please refer to the below FAQ post on this topic for digital isolator, this is equally applicable for the data channels of ISOW7742 as well.
e.g. Digital side with 1.8V I/Os. Isolated side with 3.3V I/Os, with VIO pin = 1.8V, Vdd pin = 3.3V, VSEL pin = GND2, VISOOUT pin = 3.3V output & feed to VISOIN pin.
The configuration with the voltage supplies you have mentioned are fine for ISOW7742, you can go ahead and use these. Thanks.
