Is ISO7741 support for RS485 communication Line (A,B) Isolation.?

We need to Isolate the RS485 Communication Lines A & B HMI communication (RJ45 Connector ) in  Interface PCB.  to RS485 Distribution board 

Problem we are facing the RS485 module we used (CS1030) &  transceiver IC Failure in Interface PCB.

So we thought to add Isolation  or Protection in Distribution Board.

Suggest me the Simple Possible Solution. with readymade IC Solution / any protection circuit.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your question. The ISO7741 is able to isolate digital signals but can not be used directly for RS485 communication. However, we do have isolated RS485 transceivers like the ISO1410, which can achieve isolation and act as a RS485 transceiver with a connection to the RS485 bus.

    Thanks for the solution provided above.

    We will add the Isolated transceiver in our next revision of our board.

    Is there any other possible solution available without Isolated transceiver. Since we need it for machine testing now.

    Hello,

    You'll need an isolated RS485 transceiver (like the ISO1410) or a non-isolated transceiver (like the THVD1410) in order to communicate with the RS485 bus. A digital isolator (like the ISO7741) can not directly communicate with the RS485 bus.
