ISO1042: Design Check

Part Number: ISO1042

Dear Team,

We are using CAN Transceiver IC in our design. The purpose of this ISO1042BDWVR CAN Transceiver as a loopback CAN and UART Test.

Kindly find below image for your reference.

Power Supply :

  • VCC1: UART connected to SoC 1.8V level
  • VCC2: CAN Transceiver connected to O/P of CAN Transceiver (3.3V)

Kindly let me know if any change require power side.

Thank & Regards,

Vishal

  • Hello Vishal,

Thanks for reaching out. The ISO1042BDWVR can support a VCC1 at 1.8V. However, the data sheet reccomended operating conditions for VCC2 is 5V only (the 4.5V - 5.5V range). Based on the schematic, it also looks like the MCP2562FD is also using a VDD of 5V for the CAN bus and a VIO of 3.3V for the logic inputs.

Let me know if you have further questions.

    Best,
    Andrew
