SN6505B-Q1: Supplying transformer and SN6505BQDBVTQ1 with different voltage

Hi there,

In the component datasheet, all reference design are using same voltage for SN6505B-Q1 (VCC) and primary winding of transformer.

In my application i would like to have two different voltages, for:

                                                                    - SN6505B-Q1 : 5V

                                                                    - Transformer : 5.35V

In my application the 5V is done with an LDO from 5.35V. 

Do you see any troubles by supplying chip and transformer with different voltage ?

    Hi Sebastien,

    Thank you for reaching out.

    Yes, the voltage at VCC of SN6505 and the center-tap of the transformer can be different as long as they do not exceed the maximum recommended operating voltage stated in the datasheet which is 5.5V for this parameter. Since both of your voltages are <5.5V, this shouldn't be a problem. You can proceed with this usage.
