Tool/software:

Hi,

I want to use this device in a sensitive analog area. From your experience, is it recommended to use this device in such an environment. I am concern about the DC/DC converter, OSC, etc. that might add noise to the analog channel.

Thanks,

Yuval

  • Hi Yuval,

    Thank you for reaching out.

The output of ISOW7840 is expecting to have switching noise and ripple, this might or might not be a concern based on if the analog circuit has an in-built LDO. If they do not, then you can use an LDO after the output of ISOW7840 so that the output noise is filtered out by the LDO.

ISOW7840 is an older device, we recommend you to use our second-generation device ISOW7740 which offers significantly better performance overall, including the output ripple voltage and radiated emissions performance. ISOW7740 followed by an LDO should not have any problem in powering an analog circuit. Thanks.
