ISO3086: Figures 11,12,13 etc or diagrams are not given in datasheet for ISO3086 but mentioned in electrical and other characteristics like see in figure 11

Part Number: ISO3086

Tool/software:

Could you provide the full datasheet, because for existing datasheet they didnt have figures 11,12,13 etc but mentioned in Electrical Characteristics as see in figure 11,12 ,13 etc but figures are not there.

Could you please provide the full datasheet for ISO3086 with all Figures .

  • Hello,

Thank you for pointing the numbering difference out. The datasheet online is the full datasheet; however, the numbering didn't populate correctly. Please see the below bullets showing how to align the figures.

    • Figure 11 => Figure 7-1. Driver VOD Test and Current Definitions
    • Figure 12 => Figure 7-2. Driver VOD With Common-Mode Loading Test Circuit
    • Figure 13 => Figure 7-3. Test Circuit and Waveform Definitions For The Driver Common-Mode Output Voltage

    I hope this helps.

    Andrew

  • 1)What is Positive-going input threshold voltage
VIT+ ?? and Negative going input threshold voltage VIT- ??

2)and what is the required values/Acceptable range as per EIA RS485 Standard for positive going input threshold and negative going input threshold voltage for RS485 IC??

    3)Driver differential output voltage magnitude

4)what is the acceptable value for Common mode output voltage acceptable values for Standard RS485??

5)Input current range for D,DE for standard RS485 IC?

6)What is input hysteresis of receiver in RS485 ? and acceptable value range for Standard RS485 as per EIA Standard??

  • Hello,

    1. VIT+ and VIT- is the difference between the receiver (A and B pins) that is needed to cause a transition on the R pin logic output.
    2.  The ISO3086 transceiver family is designed for the standard. The standard VIT+ is a differential voltage of 200mV, and VIT- is a differential voltage of -200mV. The transceiver will meet both of these requirements.
    3. Please see the 6.8 Electrical Characteristics: Driver - VOD spec.
    4. The standard common-mode immunity is -7 to +12V
    5. Please see he input current spec in 6.8 Electrical Characteristics: Driver
    6. The Vod is standard states a minimum threshold of +/-200mV to detect a change of state which leaves a 400-mV indeterminate state between the high and low thresholds.

    Best,
    Andrew
