Tool/software:
Hi, TI Experts.
Sorry to disturb you.
We have encountered incidents of damage to IOS7641FM in some products when in customer scenario. Currently, apart from knowing that the device is damaged, we do not have any other information.
I would like to know if there is more information in the following post?
Also, I would like to know if there is a way to check if the chip in my hand is produced by TI's original factory?
Thanks a lot.
BR/Steven
Hello Steven,
Thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately, I do not have more details on the linked E2E thread. Yes, we can check manufacturing location using the package markings on the top and bottom side of the device. It sounds like you are concerned the device may not be a TI original device. As a quick check, please share the top and bottom pictures of the device and confirm that you have purchased from TI directly or and authorized distributor.
You can also reach out to TI's Customer Support Center following the instructions on our Anti-counterfeit site (link). They will review the information you provide and respond accordingly to confirm whether the devices are authentic (you can include this post in the description).
Best,
Andrew
