The ISOW7842 has two unidirectional push/pull channels in each direction. It would be possible to use it for I²C if you add additional circuitry to convert the signals; see Designing an isolated I²C Bus® interface by using digital isolators (SLYT403).
It would be essentially the same. (The second power supply would obviously not be needed, and you might want to use the same circuit for SCL if you have master on both sides, or if some slave uses clock stretching.)
