TPS7H3301-SP: Output Voltage Curves

Part Number: TPS7H3301-SP

In Section 6.6 of the datasheet, why are the curves of output voltage offset by 10mV with respect to VDDQSNS/2?  I don't see a corresponding offset in the Electrical Characteristics table.

  • Hello Steve,

My best guess is that the curve is very steep in that graph around 0A; therefore, there may not actually be a full 10mV offset (it may just be hard to know exactly what it is). It is also possible that the the output voltage is not exactly VDDQSNS/2 except at a specific output current and temperature (which can be obtained by consulting figure 1). However, I will investigate and get back to you.

    Thanks,
    Kyle
  • Hello Steve,

I have confirmed you should look at the Vvosns/vttsns output spec on page 5 of the datasheet. There you will see at 0A the voltage will be within +/- 6mV. It is possible the graph looks slightly misleading due to the steepness of the curve. We will look at adjusting it in a future datasheet update. However, there should be no issue with the device being out of spec compared with electrical characteristics.

    Thanks,
    Kyle
