SN74LVCH16T245-EP: Maximum Supported Frequency.

Part Number: SN74LVCH16T245-EP

Hello,

When we are simulating with SN74LVCH16T245-EP transceiver, and running for 100 MHz frequency, the result across 1K load with 1inch trace is as shown below,

Peak-to-Peak Voltage: 1.59 V

Max peak: 1.51 V

Min peak: -85.53 mV

The Same when simulated for 25 MHz, the result is as shown below,

Peak-to-Peak Voltage: 1.83 V

Max peak: 1.75 V

Min peak: -85.98 mV

Kindly confirm the maximum supported frequency for SN74LVCH16T245-EP.

  • The maximum frequency will be a function of your output loading.  Simulating with IBIS is a good indicator.

The datasheet indicates at 1.8V that 75MBPS can be achieved.  It does not indicate the load at this condition, but would expect it to be fairly high impedance.

This translates to 37.5Mhz clock, and appears to be inline with your simulations.

    Regards,

    Wade
