LMD18200QML: Current sense technique

Hi,

In the LMD18200 block diagram, we see that the current sense circuit is connected to the source of the top MOSFET in both the paths. My customer wants to understand how is the current sensed? Have we used a RDSon based detection or coupled coil method? This is a high side sensing correct?

The current sensing is neither an RDSon or coupled coil based method.

Please see Section 2.4 on Page 5 in the following app note for more information about the current sensing circuitry of the LMD18200, including a schematic of the current sensing circuitry: AN-694 A DMOS 3A, 55V, H-Bridge: The LMD18200
