LM160QML: Replacement for 5962-8767401GA

Hi,

We are looking for an alternative for 5962-8767401GA (TO-99 package). Can you please let me know if there exists any drop in replacement available for this device.?

We have come across LM111JAN which is of the same package but pinouts are different. 

The existing part number is differential input and have complementary outputs.

The LM111JAN i understand is a voltage comparator and open drain/collector output. 

In our application we are using the same device as receiver for audio bus (1MHz, Manchester coded,rise/fall time ~363-480 ns). We are using only the non inverting output of the present device and we are providing resistor feedback for hysteresis.The supply rail is +5 and -5V.

So can you please let us know if this LM111JAN is appropriate in such a scenario? or any other alternative is present?

    Hello Stephen,

    TI no longer has any comparators in metal cans pin compatible with the LM160 or with a differential output.

    In addition, all of the other comparators we have that come in metal cans, have an open collector output like the LM111.   The output must be pulled up to some supply voltage.  So, these parts would not work in your application without some tweaking.

    The mil grade comparators we have in an 8 lead TO-99 are the LM111JAN and the LM193QML.  

    The highest speed comparator is the LM119QML, but it is a 10 lead TO-99.
