SN54LVTH244A-SP: sn54lvth244a-sp

Part Number: SN54LVTH244A-SP

sn54lvth244a-sp data sheet page 7 notes mentions test condition for input transition time to be less than 2.5 nsec.

C. All input pulses are supplied by generators having the following characteristics: PRR 10 MHz, ZO = 50 Ω, tr 2.5 ns, tf 2.5 ns.

issue: I am auditing a design that drives inputs of this device with transition time of 160 nsec (10%-90%).

Q1: What is the maximum transition time for this device for reliable operation (no chatter).

Q2: What is the maximum transition time for this device to ensure no damage due to idling in input threshold voltage range and associated shoot thru.

Thank you.

  • Selwyn,

The recommended operating conditions has this information:

Using 10-90% at 3.3v, the max allowed time for this transition to meet recommended operating conditions would be 0.8*3.3*10ns = 26.4ns.

This document discusses the issues associated with this and limits based on logic family:
