TLK2711-SP: Serdes transceiver with serial input (Similar to TLK2711)

Part Number: TLK2711-SP

Hi Colleagues,

Do we have any device similar to the TLK2711 but with a serial input, rather than parallel?

  • Carlos,
I am not certain I understand. The TLK2711 has a serial receiver and transmitter. Each has complementary parallel interface.
Are you looking for a serial redriver or repeater? Is this for class V (space)?
The TLK2711 is our only space qualified SERDES.

    Regards,
    Wade
  • This is not for a space application, but I assumed you would be a point to contact as the non space version is no longer supported.

My customer is interfacing with a legacy device that has a TLK2711. Since these are no longer available, they plan to do the serialization using the FPGA, and are looking for a line driver which provides similar pre-emphasis to the TLK2711.

I'm looking to know whenever we have such a device available.

  • It should be possible to use a redriver or buffer to accommodate the fpga serdes, and then rebias to VML for the TLK2711.
There is app note that possibly can help.

Depending on the jitter budget and distance, it may be possible to simply use buffer, and not a retimer.

Depending on your needs, you can post follow on questions to the interface forum to validate biasing to/from redriver or buffer to/from TLK2711/FPGA.
