SN74LVC1G80: SPICE model in LTspice throws error: "Can't find definition of model "GND""

Part Number: SN74LVC1G80

I downloaded the behavioral SPICE model from the SN74LVC1G80 webpage: SN74LVC1G80-Q1 data sheet, product information and support | TI.com

I have opened the .cir in LTspice and used the 'Create symbol' feature that automatically generates an .asy for a subcircuit model. Everything was successful, and I have successfully used this process to simulate various SN74AUP* logic gates using models on the respective TI webpages.

However, with SN74LVC1G80 simulation fails with a message box error: "Can't find definition of model "GND"". Is something wrong in the .cir file?

Same error with the .cir file from the linked related thread.
