SN74GTL2003: Using GREF as a disable?

Part Number: SN74GTL2003
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LSF0108

Hello, I'm considering using two SN74GTL2003 in a back-to-back configuration, where S_REF1 is at V1, D_REF1/G_REF1/D_REF2/G_REF2 are at 5V and S_REF2 is at V2, to make a bidirectional level-shifter between any V1 and V2. I've done this before without issue, but what I'd like to do this time is use G_REF1 and G_REF2 as a disable control.

Under normal operation, I'd tie G_REF<x> to D_REF<x>, and those would be connected to VCC through a 200k resistor. For the disable case, I'm considering disconnecting G_REF<x> from D_REF<x>, and connecting G_REF<x> to GND. That should put the pass-transistor in cut-off an isolate the bus.

Do you see any issues with this?

Thanks!
