Hi Team.,

I have tested the below drive circuit, but its consuming more current if i give VCC to GND an Gnd to 5v. But if I connect VCCto 5V, GND to gnd, then my inverter is working fine. But in simulation it was working fine. Kindly help on this.

Yes, this circuit consumes more current.

Just use a comparator with an open-collector output like the LM393.

Actually my design is if I get 5V input, output should be -5 and for 0 Volt input, output should be 0. But I need 48 channels with less space. could you suggest some circuit for LM393.

Power the comparators from −5 V and 5 V (or something higher). Connect the input signals to the inverting comparator inputs, and a reference voltage of about 2.5 V to the noninverting inputs. Connect the pull-up resistors at the outputs to GND.

Use quad comparators like the LM339. For lower power consumption, use CMOS devices like the TLC339/TLC374/TLC354/TLV1704.

Here is a circuit, which Clemens also suggested, where you can use the TLV1704 (rail to rail so your input can swing 0 to 5V on a +5V/-5V supply).

What speed and power do you need? If you need more speed, you can also use LM311 which directly allows you to have a ground referenced output with split supply on the input.
