CD74HC04: Inquiries about chips with new hysteresis

Part Number: CD74HC04
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CD74AC04

Hi,

I previously made the following inquiry. I'm posting from a related question due to its "solved" status.

https://e2e.ti.com/support/logic-group/logic/f/logic-forum/1190035/cd74hc04-there-is-hysteresis-in-the-chip-of-a-specific-lot

Q1. I received a reply that the new revision IC has hysteresis. Can you tell me when the first new chip with hysteresis shipped?

Q2. Was a PCN issued when there was a clear specification change?

Q3. Do you plan to include information about hysteresis in the CD74AC04 datasheet in the future?

Thanks,

Eevee

    2. PCN#20200629000.1

    3. Probably not. The guaranteed electrical characteristics have not changed; in order to be able to detect this change, you would need to violate the tt specification. Other logic families with hysteresis (AHC, LV-A, AUP) do not specify this in their datasheets either.
