SN74HC14: The output signal oscillation phenomenon.

Part Number: SN74HC14
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74HCS14

Hello guys,

One of my customers has been using SN74HC14PWR for their products in mass production for 3 years now.
However, when using the recently delivered SN74HC14PWR, when the output (pin 2) changes from L to H level, it oscillates at an intermediate voltage level as the attached waveform.
VCC is 5V, But VCC is stable when the output is oscillating. And 0.1uF ceramic capacitor has been placed near by the device.
At this moment, they have the following questions.
Q1. Do you know what the phenomenon cause is?
Q2. Is there any difference between the newest version SN74HC14PWR and older one?
Q3. I
s there any countermeasure?

Your reply would be much appreciated.

Best regards,
Kazuya
