SN74LVC1G11: Oputput state when unpowered

To whom it may concern,

According to the datasheet there is an I.off circuit for this device. However, what happens to the output when the device is unpowered? Does the output go to 0 V or High-Z?

Section 8.1 of the datasheet says:

The I_off circuitry disables the outputs, preventing damaging current backflow through the device when it is powered down.

Hi Clemens,

Does that mean that the output becomes high impedance if it is disabled? Because, that is technically the conclusion one should draw from the statement.

Yes, no current will flow, even for voltages above V_CC.
