TXB0304: POWER SUPPLY RANGE

Part Number: TXB0304
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TXU0304

Hi,

We are using TXB0304RUTR bidirectional level translator in our design for converting 3.3V to 1.8V. Can you please confirm the supply range for VCCA and VCCB.

We need to establish connection between SRAM and FPGA. Since SRAM operates at 3.3V and FPGA operates at 1.8V, we used level translator TXB0304RUTR for level shifting, with 3.3V at VCCA(SRAM Side) and 1.8V at VCCB(FPGA side).

Can we provide supply as I mentioned.  We can't able to establish connection between SRAM and FPGA. Can you please review it.  As in application diagram it is provided as 1.8V in controller side and 3.3V in system side.

Kindly confirm about the supply range of VCCA and VCCB,

Thanks

  • Hi Sathya,

Yes, both supplies  are recommended for 0.9 V to 3.6 V similar to the datasheet's recommended operating condition. Hence, no concerns.

However, see section 8.4.2 of the datasheet as pull-ups are recommended to be above 20 Kohms.

I would further recommend TXU0304 best suited for fixed directional applications such as your case, and not an auto-bidirectional device due to restrictions (not typically present in auto-bidirectional applications) listed in section 8 of the TXB's datasheet, thanks.

    Best Regards,

    Michael.
