TXS0108E: schematic check

Part Number: TXS0108E
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LSF0102, , TXU0202

Hi

Could you help check the below TXS0108 & LSF0102 schematic and any need to adjust

  • Hi Gareth,

    TXS0108E Schematic:

The I2C + GPIO signals are supported by this device. Unused ch. can be left floating since there exists internal 10kohm pullups. You may also also visit section 8.4 for best layout practices during board design.

    LSF0102 Schematic:

It is recommended to have external pullups on 3.3V outputs on B1 side due to the device being open-drain based. Anyways, UART signals can be supported by the LSF0102, but a more robust solution for this would be the TXU0202 as it is able to provide buffering (the LSF does not).

Both the TXS and LSF have no drive strength on its own- if the GPIO/ UART signals are being driven across longer distances and signal integrity is of concern, it is recommended to use a fixed direction/ direction controlled translator instead.

    Regards,

    Jack
