Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CD4504B, TPL7407L
Hello
I've a fundu related question on CD4504B, something which has appeared before here.
Hope someone can answer with conviction
The Q was to translate the 3.3 V DSP Signals to +15V
Vcc as 3.3 V , Vdd as 15 V
It was mentioned that it maybe workable but not guaranteed
Perhaps the Vds of 3.3 V in the Input stage may not generate enough drive capability
If I were o tweak that Q as follows:
Vcc as 5 V , Vdd as 15 V , Mode Select Pin ( 13 ) to Vcc ( TTL-CMOS )
Here the Vds for the Input stage is a a healthy 5 V , and the ViH Min @ 25*C is 2 V
( Full Temp range ?? ) good enough for the DSP's 3.3 V Signals;
will it work ?
TXHo137D or TPL7407L , being Open drain necessitate bulky Pull up's as we require
at least 2 mA S & S
Low side drivers in UCC275xx stable are viable options, but are expensive and generally limited to two Ch's
If the above solution with CD4504B works , it will solve a long standing issue
