TXB0104-Q1: Package Inquiry

Hi TI Expert,

Quite confused about the package info of the TXB0104QRUTRQ1.

Does that means we extend the pad to the package side like wettable flank?

Like we have conductive pad on each side so it's easier for checking the soldering during manufacturing.

    A package with wettable flanks would have an extra dimple or step, and this would be documented.

    Hi Evan,

    The TXB0104QRUTRQ1 does not have wettable flanks. Typically, if wettable flanks are in place, the package drawing will have dimples or step cut package modification, such as the one seen in this FAQ for example. 

    Does customer need this feature? If auto-bidirectional translator is not required, the TXU0304-Q1WBQA has wettable flanks and be used here.
