TXB0106: switch level for Ioff circuitry

Part Number: TXB0106

Tool/software:

Hi all, in the datasheet is an Ioff circuitry mentioned that will set the IO´s to High-Z if one of the Vcc´s is zero. But nowhere is the voltage level mentioned when this switchover will occur. Is this tested during production or it is defined by design ?

Thanks a lot and kind regards. Thomas

  • Hi Thomas,

IOFF was a feature for this device by design, though the specific threshold was not characterized at the time of datasheet creation. Is there a limitation in your setup that prevents you from pulling down VCC to 0V?

Please let me know if this is needed and I will check offline for this threshold.

    Regards,

    Jack

  • Hi Jack,

thanks for your reply. In fact we are using the Ioff feature as a "second" output enable. The real OE (together with VccA) is connected to an on/off switched voltage and the VccB comes from a second (later switched) voltage and enabled the TXB0106. In most cases it works fine but there are some production batches from the TXB that doesn´t work. Therefore i need to know the switching characteristic for Ioff.

Thanks a lot and kind regards. Thomas

  • Hi Thomas,

OE pin is also over-voltage tolerant, therefore it can be biased to VCCB to be ramped up to slower power supply. Please check here if able to resolve boot-up issues.

Will update here once I get the switching values for IOFF.

    Thanks,

    Jack
