CD74HC273: Pinout Discrepancies

Part Number: CD74HC273
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74HC273, SN74AHCT273

Tool/software:

Hello E2E Experts,

Good day.

We are using the CD74HC273M96 as an alternative part for the SN74HC273DWR. However, we have noticed a discrepancy in pin numbers 8 and 9. For the SN74HC273DWR, pin 8 is labeled as 4D and pin 9 as 4Q, whereas for the CD74HC273M96, pin 8 is labeled as 4Q and pin 9 as 4D.

Could you please confirm if the CD74HC273M96 datasheet is correct, or if there might be a printing mistake?

Also, can you please let us know that whether we can use that part as an alternate or not.

Regards,

TICSC

  • All '273 devices have the flip-flop I/Os arranged in pairs, alternating Q/D and D/Q. The SN74HC273 datasheet is correct.

(The SN74AHCT273 datasheet has the same error.)
