SN74LVC8T245: Maximum allowable load capacity

This device is not designed to drive large capacitive loads.

Loads up to about 70 pF can be connected directly. For larger capacitances, add a current-limiting series resitor to ensure that you stay below the absolute maximum rating of 50 mA.

I agree with Clemens here. The only thing I would add is all the datasheet timing parameters are captured using a 15pF load capacitor. Any capacitor that's not 15pF will have some impact on these parameters.
