Tool/software:
I would like to clarify something related to the Component Failure Rates calculation per IEC TR 62380. Currently, we are using your part number in our project, and we are planning to perform a FMEDA, for this we need to calculate the FIT contribution of this IC to our system.
We have access already to the Functional Safety document TXB0104-Q1: Need to provide TXB0104-Q1 Functional Safety FIT Rate, FMD and Pin FMA - Logic forum - Logic - TI E2E support forums. However, we would like to know which are some parameters that were used to calculate the FIT rate, so we can recalculate the FIT with a different mission profile.
The parameters we are interested in are:
λ1 |
λ2 |
N |
α |
Please, if you can help me providing this information will be greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
Josue Rojo
Hi Josue,
Unfortunately, the FIT document in the link you provided is all we have published. We do not have any other FMD and FIT rate available for this device as standard logic devices are not rated for functional safety.
Regards,
Jack
Is there any way to at least know the year (Manufacturing year) that was used to calculate the FIT die of the part number?
α = Manufacturing year - 1998
This could help us to recalculate the FIT rate with our Mission Profile.
Hi Josue,
Lets resolve this over PM. If possible, please provide the units part marking details and I can provide the manufacturing year for those units.
Regards,
Jack
Hi Jack, hope you doing well, I have already sent you a private message. Please, if you can take a look to it.
Hi Josue,
I have responded via PM, and will close this thread now.
