Tool/software:
I recently received an invitation to attend a web training on IT Programmable Logic. I think these circuits can be useful for our products.
We are a small company, and the IT solution with a graphic tool is very suitable for our size. My questions are:
1) Is the INTERCONNECT-STUDIO software a free tool?
We work in the defence sector.
2) What is the availability duration of these programmable circuits
Regards.
Jean-Luc
Hi Jean-Luc,
Yes, Interconnect Studio is a free tool. You can download it or use the web version here: https://www.ti.com/tool/TPLD-ICS
I'm not sure what you mean by the availability duration. It has been released to customers and you can order parts or EVMs here: https://www.ti.com/product/TPLD1201
Hope this helps!
Ian
Hi Ian,
thank you for your help.
What I mean by shelf life is that when we design products for our customers, we have to guarantee them that the product will be available for 10, 15 or 20 years. We are therefore very sensitive to the availability of our components. Do you guarantee that these new components will not be obsolete in the next 10 years?
Hi Jean-Luc,
Here's a link TI's official policies for product longevity: www.ti.com/.../product-life-cycle.html
Since this is a brand new part, it is highly unlikely that they will become obsolete, but i can't offer official guarantees on E2E.
Best,
Ian
