SN74LVC2G14: Question regarding Back-Drive Protection and Partial-Power-Down

Part Number: SN74LVC2G14

Tool/software:

Dear Specialists,

My customer has questions regarding SN74LVC2G14.

I would be grateful if you could advise.

---

(1) The data sheet says that it has a "Back-Drive Protection" function.

Could you please let me know what is this function in detail?

Generally, Back-Drive Protection is a function that disconnects the input and output from the outside by making them high impedance, and is thought to be achieved with a low Ioff (10μAmax).

(2) I understand that the input of the SN74LVC2G14 is originally high impedance.

-Is this understanding correct?

-Is there a circuit that actually disconnects the input voltage so that it does not affect the internal circuit?

- Could you please let me know what the input circuit be like.

(3) When the output becomes high impedance,

-I understand that both the Hi output circuit and the Lo output circuit are turned off.

Is this understanding correct?

(4) Could you please tell me the conditions under which "Back-Drive Protection" and "Partial-Power-Down" occur (partial-power-down applications?)

---

I appreciate your great help in advance.

Best regards,

Shinichi
