CD74HC00: Different behavior for the same part number but with different chip size.

We have detected some defects in one of our products, and based on our internal analysis, we believe these issues are linked to the device identified as "CD74HC00E"

One of our collaborators raised a question regarding a difference in chip size within the same part number (CD74HC00: Difference in Chip size inside the same part number).

We understand that this can affect the propagation delay and hysteresis. Would this necessitate a new datasheet? If so, could you please share it with us?

To provide more context regarding our issue, we have been using your device for the past 20 years in one of our internal products. After the recent change to the internal chip (mouser.com/PCN/Texas_Instruments_PCN20210628000_20210629182107229.pdf), we have observed a different behavior.

We utilize your device to generate a clock signal, with a quartz connected to inputs 4 and 5 for clock stabilization. Additionally, these inputs are connected to a 680 pF capacitor, which may be relevant for your internal analysis.

Historically, we observed a sinusoidal signal with a frequency of 6.14 MHz on the inputs, with the output oscillating at the same frequency. However, with the new version of the device, we now see a triangular signal with a frequency of 2.7 kHz on the inputs, and the output reflects the same frequency.
