TXS0108E: Vil Max specification

The TI forums and articles say the TXS0108E can be used for I2C. The I2C specs its Vol = 0.4V for 1.8V systems. The TXS0108E has a A-port Vil of 0.15V. So technically it will not meet the I2C 0.4 Vol spec.

Vil = 0.15 seems very low is that correct or I misinterpurting the spec?

The TXS itself will work with any voltage level; the output voltage is the input voltage plus the small voltage drop over the switch transistor. So if the input voltage is 0.4 V, the output voltage will be slightly above 0.4 V.

The 0.4 V limit of I²C devices is specified for the maximum output current (usually 3 mA). With a smaller current, you will have smaller output voltages.
