LSF0108: LSF0108

Part Number: LSF0108

Hi,

We are using LSF0108 Bidirectional Voltage Translator in our new board design for 1.8V level data I/Os to 3.3V level data I/Os conversion and vice-versa. The I/O signals we are passing through this voltage level translator are basically push-pull type signals and data rate is 100Mbps.

In the Section 8.1 of LSF0108 datasheet it is mentioned that LSF family is ideal for use in application where an open-drain driver is connected to the data I/Os. With appropriate pull-up resistors and layout, LSF can achieve 100 MHz.

The LSF family can also be used in applications where a push-pull driver is connected to the data I/Os.

We need the following clarifications.

  1. Can we use LSF0108 device in our application where the I/Os are push pull type and I/O signals speed is upto 100MHz?
  2. It is mentioned that with appropriate pull-up resistors and layout, LSF can achieve 100 MHz.  Since our application is for pushpull type I/Os we will not use any pull-up resistors. Even in this case will we be able to achieve 100Mz speed. This is not clear in the datasheet.

Please clarify.
