Hi,

For the schematics as shown in the attached word file

While connecting only the 3.3V side (pin 7 and 8), we see 0.8V on pin 2.

Is this normal behavior or malfunction?

Vref_A is connected to Vref_B through the reference transistor; the current is limited only by the 200 kΩ resistor.

To isolate the two sides from each other, you have to pull EN low (with some open-drain/open-collector driver).
