SN74AUP1G17: Used in Cascade connection and simulaiton models needed

Hi Experts,

I have a request ot use SN74AUP1G17 for a cascade connection(above 20 stages) in the design, and wondering about the clock qualities would be after several stages. we plan to do the simulation to check this. Could you tell if I can get the simulation models(spice,or alternatives) to do this? If not, could you help check if it's feasible to do so?

basic setup like this:

Oscillator 50MHz-->5pF loading and SN74AUP1G17 --> 5pF loading and SN74AUP1G17--> 5pF loading and SN74AUP1G17--->…...-->5pF loading and SN74AUP1G17 ---> 5pF loading

The propagation delays of rising and falling edges are designed to be identical, so there should not be much of a problem. I guess you have to test this yourself.

In any case, any such pulse width distortion will probably not be correctly captured by a simulation model.

Thanks! In the real circuits, there will be loading effects to the input clock of the next buffer. in the test, it's found that duty cycle will be impacted. Could you tell if TI has the clock buffer with duty cycle re-shaped function?

There are clock jitter cleaners & synchronizers, but it might be simpler to use differential transmission (where the rising and falling edges of the original signal are affected in the same way), e.g., LVDS.

Hi Zhipei,

I'm in agreement with Clemens on our models not being able to accurately simulate the distortion. He linked our portfolio for more precise clock buffers, but you can also create a thread on their respective forum for help.
