SN74LVC1G17: Will level shifting 1.8V 50Mhz clock to 3.3V stable?

Hello,

I'm searching for a simple accurate clock level shifter to 3.3V for my 1.8V 50Mhz clock signals.

I came across the SN74LVC1G17, which was simple, cheap, small and had schmitt trigger feature for stable output.

However, the Vin threshold for Vcc 3V is MAX 1.92V, which should increase if the Vcc is 3.3V.

Does this mean I can't use SN74LVC1G17 to perform 1.8V to 3.3V level translation?

Could someone check if I'm misunderstanding the datasheet?

This device is not a level shifter and expect 3.3 V input signals. Devices with lowered input thresholds are the SN74AUP1T17 or SN74LV1T34. The fastest shifter is the SN74AXC1T45.

Hi Clemens,

Thanks for your suggestion.

I decided to go with SN74AUP1T17 since the Tpd is slightly better than SN74LV1T34 without a large increase in cost.

SN74AXC1T45 was little too expensive for me.
