TXB0304EVM: Not functioning properly when OE pulled low

Part Number: TXB0304EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TXB0304,

Hallo,

I am working with TXB0304EVM to interface a sensor (logic 1.8V) with a Bluetooth controller (logic 3V). Even though the EVM board came with TXB0304, in which the OE pin has to be pulled low with resistor as mentioned in the data sheet.

" The only difference between TXB0304 and TXBN0304 is the OE signal being active high and active low respectively."

But I could only make the board function properly when the OE pin held high with a pullup resistor. Am I missing out something here? Or is it a problem due to a wrongly assembeleld IC?

I was not able to find such an issue in the forum. Please help.

Best regards,

Adarsh

  • Hi Adarsh,

We've asked our translation / EVM expert to provide a response, however he's working in the lab today and will likely have a delayed response time.

  • The OE pin of the TXB0304 is active high.
The OE pin of the TXBN0304 is active low.

You have the TXB0304, and it is enabled when the OE pin is pulled high (a resistor is not required). This is exactly how it is described in the datasheet.
