Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74HCS595
Hello,
I would like to confirm about timing diagram of SN74HCS596.
Because, there is no data about output state which depend on state of each pins.
Could you please confirm and show it to me ?

BR,
What exactly are you looking for? Timing characteristics and switching characteristics are quantified in the data sheet in sections 6.6 and 6.7. Waveforms are shown in figures in section 7.
with regards to output state depending on the state of each pin, this is also covered at the very in table 8-1:
Was there something specific you were uncertain about?
Thanks,
Rami
Hello,
What I want to get is below.
* Same information as Figure 6-1. Timing Diagram of SN74HCS595.
The '595 and '596 behave the same; the only difference is the open-drain outputs.
Hello,
I wonder one thing about below.
>The '595 and '596 behave the same; the only difference is the open-drain outputs.
Even though 596 is open-drain output device, there is "VOH" specification in datasheet.
So, I do not know this device will output high level or not in fact. Therefore, I wanted to know exact timing diagram of 596.
Can you show actual figure of timing diagram for 596 ?

Hello,
>VOH is for the QH' output.
What I want to confirm is below.
* According to datasheet, Voh spec depends on Vcc. (Not external pull up voltage)
It seems that this means this device can drive high level. So, I want to confirm exact timing diagram for output(Qx).
Best Regards,
BR,
The 595 and 596 are the same except for that the 596 has open-drain outputs so you can use the 596 timing diagram. Not all the outputs are open drain in the 595 though. The QH' output is a serial push pull output. This is what the VOH is referring to in the 595 datasheet. The other QA-H outputs are open drain. They will not drive anything high. See section 8.3.2 of the datasheet :
Thanks,
