Is there a brief document that describes the volatility of this probe (volatile/non-volatile memory)? This would include the specs on the internal memories: sizes of the RAM, ROM, Data Flash, and Program Flash memories, write-protect information, ability to remove and/or erase storage components.


Not clear on all of the memories but it has non-volatile memory and firmware updates that can be reprogrammed by the customer. See XDS200 (ti.com) "Updating the firmware". 

I'm required to have a "Certificate of Volatility" or "Statement of Volatility".

    Alison, Thanks for reaching out to the E2E forum.  I spoke to some folks from our tools team and this is a bit of a special scenario. 

    Currently, the product sold in the TI Store under TMDSEMU200-U is a variant of the XDS200 emulator made by Spectrum Digital.  Spectrum went out of business last year and we are currently in the process of switching the vendor for this emulator to Blackhawk; https://www.blackhawk-dsp.com/products/jtag-emulators/usb200.

    For the sake of the E2E community reading this post the above has no bearing of being able to use a Spectrum Digital version of this emulator with the CCS IDE.  Those will continue to work as expected.

    We do not have access to the schematics/BOM for the Spectrum version that is currently listed on TI.com, but my understanding is that Blackhawk is familiar with the statement of volatility and can share this if you contact them directly.

    Based on the above, the best course of action would be to purchase a Blackhawk USB200 from them directly and request the Statement of Volatility.  I don't know when the transition from the SD version to the Blackhawk version of the XDS200 will occur from a TI Store perspective.
